Black N' Roll

Igor Bogdanov's series · TV-MA

The most evil band in Eastern Europe. The sleaziest producers in America. And a Devil who just wants everyone to stop calling. Mid-1990s Latvia: Frostboner have the corpse paint, the spikes, and a four-track demo — not talent, a van that starts, or any sense of self-preservation. Across the Atlantic, Bichota & Xuxo Maria get handed an impossible job: make the worst black metal band on Earth famous before the label pulls their last advance. An adult comedy about ambition, bad decisions, and the most sincere terrible music ever recorded.

Season 1, Episode 1 — work in progress. Adults only (TV-MA). For fans of This Is Spinal Tap, What We Do in the Shadows, and anyone who ever dubbed a demo tape at 3 a.m.

The Damned

Vocals · Guitar

Igorfer

Founder, frontman, and self-appointed high priest of Frostboner. He writes every lyric and can play every riff, provided it's the same one.

Bass · Vocals

Ankhel Helvete

Bassist, second voice, and the only one who reads the contracts. Her shriek has shattered three microphones and one engagement.

Drums

Robzeebub

Drums, the van, and blast beats at whatever tempo he's in the mood for. He believes in Satan, mostly as a career move.

The Producers · USA

Bichota & Xuxo Maria

A sleazy American production duo whose glory days ended with hair metal. They don't know what black metal is. They'll sell it anyway.

Graveyard-shift DJ · WSIN FM

Sister Beretta

A black metal nun who hosts the late-night slot. She plays the demo on air. Nobody can tell whether it's an act of faith or a punishment.

The Prince of Darkness · Mostly napping

Lazy Satan

The Devil is bored. A few Latvians in face paint keep trying to summon him. He'd really like them to stop.

Fortune teller · On retainer

Scarlet Graves

A witch hired to find out whether this band will make it. The cards don't lie. She bills for overtime anyway.
